Angel investing is limited to accredited investors as defined by Rule 501 of Regulation D of the Securities Act of 1933. In brief, an accredited investor must meet one of the following requirements:

- Individual net worth in excess of $1.0 million (excluding one's primary residence)

or


- Individual income in excess of $200,000 or joint income in excess of $300,000 in each of two most recent years

Stateline Angel's members meet several of the following criteria:


1. Have built one or more successful companies and/or have been influential executives in public companies and/or have a proven record of accomplishment of investing in early-stage companies.

2. Have the freedom to devote up to 5 hours per month for due diligence and screening of potential investment opportunities.

3. Have an active network within the manufacturing, health care, logistics, technology, services, or capital community in the region.

4. Have some prior investment experience in start-up companies or have extensive business development, licensing, or M&A experience in corporate positions.

5. Have the capacity to participate in at least two Stateline Angel investments per year.

6. Have a strong interest in educating and advising entrepreneurs on running their companies.

7. Have a strong interest in regional economic development.
